OUR STORY USING MY WORDS
What you might see: A messy living room. An unfinished living room wall. Just some kids running around. What we, @jcrespo36 and I, see: Our three year old engaging in play with his older brother. And not just engaging, but initiating play. INITIATING. We see reciprocity ... both chasing, both running. We see a glimpse of “typical” in our home that is usually not the norm. Yet. I pray for moments like these over and over and over again.
Took this kid out of the house for the first time in weeks. Figured it was a great time to review expectations. Me: And it’s important to use our manners. Do you know what I mean? Him: Yes, of course. Me: give me an example of what I mean. Him: Like only farting if I’m sitting on the toilet. 🤔
Anyone else read this book and want to talk about it? I’m pretty sure that @jcrespo36 is tired of me saying “let me read you this chapter.” 🤣
Kicking off Mother’s Day weekend in what I sometimes refer to as “Momma Heaven.” Today it’s alone in my car with my book. Our Saturday mornings begin with Occupational Therapy for little Jacob. So, here I am. Alone in the car basking in the glory that is stillness, quiet and calm as I wait for OT to finish. What’s your idea of Momma Heaven these days?
It’s official. 🤗 3,000 + hours of supervision are done. #notaninternanymore
